This original fibro-cottage family home was transformed from a virtual shell into a highly practical home, featuring a stunning new living kitchen pavilion – brought to completion with a reverse skillion roof to the front facade of the dwelling. The counter-levered steel and timer in-fills to the entry and rear of the terrace are bespoke features that integrate perfectly with the design.
The project proved to be a great example of the application of various materials including stone paving, expressed structural steel, Aussie hardwood in "blackbutt" and innovative joinery. Notably, the entire project was seamlessly undertaken while the residents remained living in the home.
